Was watching some old Top Gears and I have decided that my Favourite super car of all time was and still is the McLaren F1. So quick and looks so good even by today's standards. Anyone got something that will better it ?

Still looks very modern! and is causing me huge issues in Grand Turismo 5..freaking cars made of voodoo or something. 0 to 100mph in like one second in that game when im racing against them. See I have an issue I dont like hyper and super cars. But i do love the Nissan GT R and nismos race tuned version ..I suppose it counts as a super car

What is that Martin, it looks like a 1750 GTV (which I lusted over for a number of years) but to my knowledge that always had double headlights. For me there is and will only ever be one, the F40, because the real one, the Mako Shark II, whilst making it to my model cabinet, never made it to production True story: back in '89 or was it 88' or '90 I ordered an F40 when it first became available in the UK. When they called me to say it was ready for collection, I wasn't around and the message was left was left with a girl in the office. When she called me she was quite emotional and clearly wanted a ride, in or out of the car, I don't think she knew what an F40 was but she certainly knew what a Ferrari was. To this day I feel guilty that I did not admit it was a 1:18 scale model

Hi Pete,
Is of the same family, its a Giulia GTA it had an alloy body - they really made beautiful cars in the 60's
its funny you mention the model of the Ferrari F40. My dad bought me a model of it when I was 3. I was too young and destroyed every moving part on the model - but i was fascinated by the pop up headlights! So throughout the 80's every time I saw an old MR2 I would scream FERRARI!!!
I swear that car is the reason i adore cars today...

Well for me the best is the daddy of the lot, the first mid-engined road going supercar the Lamborghini Miura it may not be the fastest or the best handling but you cannot argue with the looks By the way apart from a few isn't it just like top gear in that the old seam to be chosen over the new!

You certainly cannot Ian. That was my dream best ever ball grabbing most desirable car on the planet until 1987. It probably remains the most beautiful.

I had the same fascination with the TR7 due to the pop up lights. Take a poo car and pop up lights and you have a, well you actually have a poo car with pop up lights.
