So the 2nd biggest question this weekend is will I fall asleep as normal during that yawn of race at Barcelona or will the new tyres etc actually keep me awake so I can have that cup of tea I always miss?

it should be good, although lots of the passing is quite empty as drivers dont seem to be fighting tooth and nail for position any more. its all down to who has more meat on their tyres + a lashing of kers and DRS for good measure i hope your not expecting to see a race at the front - i imagine it will be Vettel romping into the distance...

Hi lads (blinking off to work again) As for vettel He has the best all round package this is what F1 is all about ,not as ecclestone and his friends want though. If they water it down any more it wont be worth watching. F1 use to be the top teams racing the ultimate car. You want racing watch formula 3000,or BTCC Les ,reuben, graham, jason martain etc etc dont slow down eveyone else has to catch up. Right or wrong its the way it is Pro eco allows racing for novice and expert alike look at Terry and ian allmost 19 laps But mod is for the best esc motor etc (basically the best financed or most expensive up to the minute goods) Right or wrong its the way it is you dont sign alonso for £150 million and want him 3rd you want him on pole and never looking back from start to finish. So pete if you fall asleep your missing the big picture Craig drives a x-ray with all the up dates as they come along if you wanted him to race closely go pro-eco its just a scaled down thing. F1 should be left alone if virgin cant keep up dont slow the rest of the field down make them design better up grades.

Nice one Chris. I could write 58 pages answering your post, but I will just concentrate on the big picture which I suggest you are missing not me! The sport is fundamentally wrong when a driver is 1.5 seconds a lap faster then pulls up behind the slower car and cannot overtake. The only picture I will admit to missing is finding any race at Barcelona interesting. Good for you if you do No need for us to drop to ECO; club champ rnd 1 Open class Final 3 1st Reuben 20/306.18 2nd Craig 20/306.42 God that was a boring race ;D

Well I fell asleep!
This is not racing. Racing is when a group of people in the same spec cars go out for a number of laps and try to drive faster than the others out there.
F1 is now dependent on the rule makers allowing overtaking and the tyre companies allowing tyres that work for only a short period.
Too many rules, too many non driver/car related interferences from outside influences.
It used to be that F1 was the pinnacle of speed and technology. The fastest driver car package won. Now it is not the fastest by any means, technology is stumped by regulations and the whole thing is dependant on money and the poison dwarf.
If you want excitement watch BTCC. Everyone goes out for the whole race and tries to beat each other, novel format?

You really need to get to bed earlier then mate. I agree about the rules and most of your post but I personally didn't think the race was boring. If anything thought is was one of the better races. Do need to check out the BTCC though as it sounds right up my street. Imagine how good F1 would be if they let them go all out on everything. But I am sure we would see more fatalities as a result.
