Anyone want to shed any light on a good 10.5 to get? Or have any recommendations from others or themselves?
might be interested in running 10.5 at chippenham this winter if they run the class ;D

Ooo I dunno, Martins did sound a little better down the straight.
More sound = more speed right?

I have the same dilemma. As indoors at chip is normally tight and technical I will prob steer clear of the torquy types,so ill be playing with something revy and smooth.you may get away with something torqy been used to Mod? My 1st choice would be the GM with the 12.3 rotor ,2nd would be the D3 as long as I could calm its mid range grunt a little with ESC profile. The other makes out there I wouldn't even consider,Makes such as the Flux,Speed passion,Graupner.the X12 may be worth a try though, its proved to be fast this year outdoors but can be a little tricky to tune right.

thats was what i have been thinking about but i cant find anybody who has it with 12.3 rotor. so i'm going to stick with the trusty d3 now all( we ;D)got to do is tame that beast Ginge

Having swapped from the Tekin Redline to the X12 last year I do like the X12. It is very robust and on the pace. Ran it at 9.08 the other week but had to add a pinion tooth to overcome wheelspin

I presume thats at Bish Bash not Aldershot? if not sounds like you are runing way too much timing if you need to run that ratio.....you are missing out on the motors smooth torque and mid range big time hence the wheel spin out of corners!.... got a loose rear end by any chance? Ive got my eye on thr new Reedy motors

Oooh nooooh Les. It was bish bash and we were setting timing to FDR not vice versa. We use 8.17 at Aldershot, same as the Clifts although we do not add as much timing, and I figured it was worth trying a smaller pinion at Bashley. Going down 2 teeth to 9.03 was on the day clearly faster but difficult to control so we settled for another tooth, around 8.6.
Of course once you get down to fine tuning it is difficult because you need a lot of time to play around with rev ranges with the different FDRs and then tyres start to negate comparisons, so I remain unconvinced that we have got to the optimum.
