Hi all when i tried to remove factory solder joints from esc the iron would not touch the solder.(50w iron on max temperature). What am i doing wrong as daz oakley made it look simple. I had to cut wires flush then drill out with a 2mm bit, there must be a better way. Will post pictures up later.

You can do it mate but if the wires are long then they act as a heat sink and remove the heat from the iron. I cut them down and short and grab them with tweezers as soon as the solder is melted. If you tweezer them before it melts as the tweezers also act as a heat sink. Also flow a little fresh solder onto the joint,as this helps to get the heat in quicker. but alternatively cutting off flush and carefully drilling out can be done mate. Good luck
