Hey Jeff.
my advice would be to look at either a Speed Passion 2.1, 2.0 or 2.0lpf (Reality Racing should have one of these?) or my personal favourite Hobbywing 2.1, 2.0, 2.0 60a.
out of those 6 for stock racing you will notice no difference at all.
No one at Bashley currently runs the mmm. it is 90% Hobbywing/speedpassion, with 2 Tekin drivers.
So choose the one you like the look of and within your budget.
Also if you still have your motor, it will be good with the new ESC's as motors are not as important anymore.
most of us are running 13.5.

Who has the other Tekin? I thought I was the only member who was omniscient - first XRAY, then Tekin. Oh well I suppose this year everyone will see the light again and end up with Tekin on their new XRAYs and we will just have to try harder ;D

Hi jeff good to see you getting back into it again! I have a tekin rs pro and a hobbywing extreme stock and I prefer the tekin as I find it easier to understand the setup changes but you do need a laptop and it is alot more expensive! If I had to buy a new speedo I would buy a hobbywing because they are so much cheaper and you don't need a laptop! The trinity duo 3 motors are popular at our club.

or my personal favourite Hobbywing 2.1, 2.0, 2.0 60a. The good thing about the Tekin is that you only need one of them, not three of them

Hi jeff nice to see you are coming back..no doubt you will be kicking some butt on the track very soon. As Jamie said avoid Tekins for those reasons he mentioned.....By far the the easiest to use are the Hobby Wing and Speed passion speedos (same factory different badge) Both are well priced. they have slightly different soft wear but both do the same job, just some people have a personal preference. I use the Speed Passion/Hobby Wing speedos and have yet to be "out horsed" by another make with the same motor....its all down to a good profile! As for motors I find the Trinity D3 well priced fast and reliable as too the more expensive new GM range(very fast).....The MMM range avoid like the plague,I never met anyone who got them to work well in the stock classes regardless of speedo make.... Oh by the way the MMM are made by Speed passion..the X12 range can be fast on certain tracks but can be tricky to set up with a good profile,as for any other makes I wouldnt bother! Good luck with your come back...I normaly race else where theses days on a larger track where horse power is a must if you want to keep on the pace..plus most of the racers there are on the cutting edge of whats new and best. So take a serious look at the D3 its a good allrounder! it may not have the best top end but has superb mid range grunt thats siutable for technical tracks,The new GM's a large track top end missile with a smooth bottom end .....Regards Les

Lol I was thinking more of soldering, not my strong point at the track. With the RS Pro, one soldering excercise and done for life ;D
