After several frustrating weeks we finally got the car lapping round the track. The problem has not absolutely gone away but you wouldn’t know it to see the car go round. It is without doubt the best XRAY we have had, solid as a rock; a bit of tuning to the steering on the transmitter got it turning in beautifully and it sure looks fast (the 10.5 was loaded), the traction out of the right hander after the chicane was awesome. There wasn’t anything Craig really had to do – he just stood there, Stig like, listening to his music and turned the steering wheel occasionally. It sure is a whole lot easier to drive than the 009. We were running kit setup except for ball diff and 2.8 springs on the front. For the final run we put the kit 3.0 springs on the front and gob-smackingly it was even better; not a hint of a bounce around the final corner on to the straight. So when I collected the car I just had to give it a great big gobsmacking kiss, it was so good. ;D If we can get down the track on Saturday I am going to fit the 009 front axle with c-hubs and try and track the problem but it sure is good enough to race with.

You should man up and get Craig to try it on carpet in the next winter season. The T3 11/12 is phenomenal on the rug. My 11 is more like a 12 now, a few extras and Its consistently good.
The schumacher played safe, but this plays fast.

Glad to say that we proved today that the problem was due to a duff servo, now in the trash can and the car is totally resistant to induced 360s The car was running well today, just a bit loose at the rear on a couple of corners, but I put that down to the chief mechanic forgetting to tighten the top deck screws after playing around with the car. ;D We should be down the track tomorrow to test a change which we anticipate will make the car even faster
