Ok so round 5 is in a couple of weeks.... There are a few rumours of a possible SHMCC camping trip!!
So who's thinking of supporting round 5 and who fancies a SHMCC camp out?

Excellent, I will be there. Was looking forward to the Yeovil round but holding it at Bashers is even better.

Sorted - had a good warmup on Sunday at Stafford ready for this - 6th in the B overall at the clubmans championship I will be there, but may have to miss round 1 if my gig runs over - can you book me in Dave, and I'll get there as soon as I can (assuming that's ok in the rule book Darryl?)

Glad to see you had fun at the at the SICC, unfortunately we had already booked into the BTCC round at Aldershot, most of the top drivers there getting practice for the Nats, Elliot Harper was just on another planet in Mod. Irritatingly they decided to go with 4+1 and round by round due to threat of rain. No idea where that came from, it was not on the BBC site and needless to say it did not rain. In 13.5 boosted Craig might just have scraped the A final but had two DNFs out of the 4. A back marker span and swiped him loosening the sensor cable in Q1 and then in Q3 an electrical problem intervened after he had taken 0.2 off his PB fastest lap time. So we happily settled for the B final and DNFed again with the electrical problem on lap 3.

Yep was a great meeting, some really good close racing. As they say win some lose some, after beating Mr Vale to first in the 17.5 class of the first final by hundreths I failed to finish the second due to a broken spool outdrive!. Hey ho such is life. Car all fixed and ready for Wednesday night now.
Was good to see some VERY good youngsters racing and racing cleanly. Some future stars I reckon. Good luck to them and I hope they get the breaks they deserve.
I reckon they should have an "Old Gits" class as I am sure I could do well in that! These youngsters are getting way to quick.

Indeed Ian such is life. That is why I always favour events with 3 finals - even the Nats has moved to 3 finals these days.
That is what peed me off about the BTCC race. Not only are they the most expensive event to enter in terms of £s per race, cutting the finals down to one ridiculous and I doubt I will ever enter their event again.

These youngsters are getting way to quick. Tell me about it - Dan Blake is one of those, making 4th in the A and 3rd overall after just 2 visits to Bashers!
