Well done Mark for all your efforts, it's been a really enjoyable series, I've enjoyed every track. What a great finishing track, we had our own air display on Saturday and a truly memorable night around the BBQ/campfire at camp bashley. I would just like to say thanks to Les for supporting me throughout the series and God for blessing me.................sorry I was going a bit finchy then ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Seriously though. Thanks to everyone for making it so good. Oh! one more thing [glow=purple,2,300] [shadow=red,left,3000][/shadow][/glow]

yes a very enjoyed weekend..... the action is definitly with the bashley-boyz. Hope next season the rest of you south-hants are up for bbq goooooodness. some definite stories to remember nice - fast track, made a change of pace..... even if my car was used as a rolling car catcher for all those drivers in my final that failed to slow down to hit the apex, but rather hit my instead!!! GRRR. And then to top it all off i came from 6th to 1st in 3 minutes and stupid screw comes loose and car wont go round the corner on the 3rd from last corner on the VERY last lap (even the 5minute alarm had already gone!) so i didnt get a pot of gold and the chance to make a speech! did get a nice charger that should pay for the tyre warmers i will now need, due to mine catching fire! but still VERY much enjoyed the weekend..... day off tomorrow to strip the car down and re-setup it up for sunday action at bashley , 13.5 this weekend anyone?

Indeed, a good end to the series (despite some issues relating to race etiquite). Very happy to make the A again in pro stock despite nuking one motor.. Eek! Not such a good run in the finals, but hey, can't win em all. Some very funny stories from Saturday night, what with keiths smoke signals, Adams rain dance, and Poo-nap's issues... If you were there, you'd know Hehe Roll on next year.. Efforts appreciated Mark

Congrautlations to mark and his back room crew, a fantastic series, many thanks to the Cotswold orgainsers and also to Col who worked very hard in race control through great difficulties to get the all important race details out. also to Chris, who kindley, worked hard on BBQ ordering.
A great weekends racing - some questionable moves at times, and some quesitonable behaviour in the pits also at times
However - it's been a fantistic weekend,

Thanks everyone. I have actually enjoyed organising the series and am well pleased we took the title with such a great points haul.
Shine was taken off for me with a few incidents yesterday but all faith was restored seeing Oli pick up the trophy and soaking Chris with the champagne.
Hope you've all enjoyed it. See how it goes for next year.

Hey, Thought i would use this opportunity just to say thanks to everyone that made The SLCC happen, especially to Mark, not an easy job, especially on days like yesterday. Shame it took the shine off. Thanks for the champaign, think i might have preferred to drink it rather then smell like an alcoholic for the 2 hour car trip, and 1 hour boat ride! haha Overall a great series, good racing, and it seems to have flown by! Thanks Again! Roll on next year!

Just wanted to add my two pennyworth. What a wonderful series, great club victory, fantastic experience for all. Who would have thought before the start that the young ’uns would have done so well, with Craig and Simon getting into A finals, Dan scoring a 3rd in Pro Stock A and young Ollie collecting trophies like they had gone out of fashion! I bet there are many in the other clubs that wish they had our camaraderie and level of support, 10004 points is mind blowing.
And we all owe a great personal debt of gratitude to Mark, without whom surely the series would have failed. So Mark, from Craig and I many many thanks for the hours you must have put in for all of us.
As for the weekend, well the wise old one knew that our trusty armoury of 27s would get mullered on this track. Sacre bleu, the wise old one even offered the not so wise young one the option of a brushless conversion but the not so wise young one was happy to stay with 27s and so we did indeed get mullered.
Ironically the young one won his first ever SLCC trophy; now 5th on the grid in the C final might seem a bit of a come down after two As but boy did we enjoy ourselves and it was as much fun for me watching the young one fight his way through the grid with, apart from an elegant barrel roll towards the end of the 2nd final, two very controlled drives. And of course the Black one played its part too. Beautifully balanced on the first run, stiffening the chassis and top deck, stiffer springs and “thicker” oil just made it sublime.
And then unbelievably was the icing on the cake, well really it was the cake, the young driver award. I had no idea it existed and I have no idea who to thank really but I assume Mark and maybe some others had some input. Personally, for Craig, it means more to me than anything else. The success at the Young Guns was great but it was in relative terms just a race. The award though is a wonderful accolade not just for Craig but for the club too, where the older wiser drivers install an early sense of etiquette both on the track and off it.
I know I help Craig a lot and I know I can rightly be criticised for sometimes taking things too seriously but Craig is Craig and that is what won him the award; and the immense enjoyment he gets is a direct result of the people he races with week on week, you guys. And as Craig said when we got home, shame there wasn’t and old git award too, we would have swept the board. ;D

The Yeovil crew would like to congratulate South Hants on winning the 2008 SLCC club championship. I was thinking of asking for a re-count ;D. A particular thank you to Mark for all the effort he put into the series. I know at times it has been very testing . I would also like to thank all of South Hants club who have been friendly, helpful and just downright nice all of the time. . Hope to be racing against you lot again pretty soon ;D Cheers.
