so with all the polls recently, i thought that this is appropriate. what shells do you prefer? and why? based on performance and style. you can have up to two options. if you choose other, type the shell in your response....... Mini-shells not included

my fav - stratus for handling....smooother than the mazda dna2 for style , plus im hoping to pick one up soon to try (looks agressive, which would be a nice shell to have for tracks with tighter sharper turns, maybe the indoor season if i get down wed nights)

Mazda 6. I've been running a speed 6 for a while (like it's looks ) but threw the normal M6 on the car last weekend for the first time in a while, and the car just felt much more positive to drive (we like )... as it always seems a good shell to come back too, so gets my vote.

Mazda speed 6; volumes more front grip and turn-in but of course less stable than the 6 or the Stratus 2; but if you're 14 you have the reflexes ;D. Cotswolds will see the Alfa 159 pressed into service again, as might WLRC but need to see the track first. Unless you are running brushless forget the mazda 6 lightweight; us brushed guys do not have the time to buid a new bodyshell every week. Stratus 3 in the paintshop. Hey Matt maybe if we couple the Stratus 3 with a 13.5 will we keep up with you on the straight?

Protoform dodge stratus 3 for me and Ollie, strong and good performing body shell.

i agree with the protoform being strong!, compared to my hpi/hb moore speed 6 its like comparing paper with plastic! the hpi/hb ones are REALLY REALLY thin & weak, but then again they are £6 cheaper

£6 cheaper?, I thought they were all about the same price, Terry sells the Protoforms for less than £17 with club discount .

Actually those are Prontoforms made by a guy in Sway who has a business fabricating plastic cases predominantly. Strong but actually don't drive as well as proper Protoforms .

My favourite bodyshell is one that isnt even on the list, the Tamiya Ebbro 350R, brilliant bodyshell tried normal 'shells on the car as well such as Mazda6, Stratus 3, R-9, Alfa 159 and none compare to the handling and road holding of the Ebbro. And not only that but it looks great ;D

Oh no Keith. I knew of the guy years ago; he used to make very nice scalextric type bodies. They were slightly oversize but if you you think about how he made the molds you will realise why.

Dodge 3 has to be the best allrounder for most tracks or the speed 6 if you are suffering under steer(twisty track ,low grip)...If I had to choose just one ..Dodge 3
The R9 is an interesting shell and might be the shell to use in the winter "low grip"..It certainly gave more all round grip when back to backed with a Mazda.

oh i see pete, my apologies, I'm pretty sure the shells terry sells now are protoforms though, they've got protoform on the label and they have the logo on the transfer sheet.
