Oh bl**dy hell is nothing sacred, I'll go for the black option then; mind you yellow would be nice ;D Interesting read, between the lines I wonder if in fact they will issue an 009 upgrade as they did with the 007. They seem not to be redsigning the bulkheads as they are going to use pads to raise the top deck. They talked a lot about optimising and returning to the 008 parts after the trials. They have issued new UJ oriented drive shafts and new shocks already so with a focus on the driveline (maybe we see at last the new rear diff promised ofr the 008) so maybe it will be a more of a package of upgrades.

I suggest you don't believe all you see and hear.
There will always be a new car coming out from one manufacturer or another so a X Ray 09 is really no surprise is it. The same as the Cyclone TC, 416 WE etc etc.
As long as it's blue who cares?

If 009 is a series of upgrades, you could end up with a bit of silver a bit of black, a bit of red, and a bit of purple. A bit of a liquorice allsort. New sponsor - Bassets

if Xray were in-with-the-fashion they would anodise it White!, not silver but WHITE! all the new sports cars look better in white - so why not TC's? i would like a car with white anodised bits!, would make u clean it more allthough white is impossible, isnt it?

I stand to be corrected on this but I do recall someone telling me that white is not possible as an anodised colour.
I really liked the gold chassis kit Tamiya made as a special for their top drivers a few years ago.

yeh White is impossible, rather you can get a very light silver..... i would like to see a green anodised car, how about a REALLY dark purple for the Xray? cos its an evil car (runs away and hides behind true purple)

OK don't sweat. As far as I can see it has hardly changed from the 008. Disappointingly the aluminium shocks are not included neither is the new UJ (as far as I can see) althoughtthe wheel axle is differnt. Apart from the lighter rear half shafts that's it , the same car. Very poor. You can safely assume that Team Campbell,s 2009 race budget will be focussed on the round thing you fit at the back

Minimal changes, but a new colour, is that it? Gotta bring a car out each year though!
At least Tamiya change quite a lot of stuff between each release! I guess Xray have Eds too though ;-)
