If you need a new car and don't want to follow the Honda F1 team into oblivion, XRay have announce the budget T2R. This has many parts in common with the 008/009 but has a fibreglass deck (and I assume top deck) and some of the alumininium parts are composite. The T1R is what Craig cut his teeth on and remains our wet car. No pricing at the moment but the launch says available for XMAS and I guess Mirage will have details on their site in the near future.

Ho ho Les. Actually remarkbly cheap due to people selling off their old gear - I probably have enough to do the 2009 season having acquired a large bag of Reedy 767s( I think) for a pony ;D
We were hoping to be running 19T over the winter, is no-one else running pro-stock?

Well we only blew up one 19T last time out so it hasn't been too expensive so far

Well I am hoping that having 3 new lipos and two 17.5 brushless motors already in my kit box I will not need anything except tyres, entry fees and maybe a few odd spares in 2009.
But you never know......
The T2R does look like a good piece of kit for a starter. The T1R was always a decent car. Depends on the price I suppose.

The T2R Pro will retail for £215 - pretty good price that seems to me

Sounds pretty good to me too considering the prices of all the opposition at the moment.
Would be nice to see one in the flesh and see what you get for your money. Would quite fancy one as a spare car.

Isnt everything expensive at the moment? I suppose it is all relative. Prices are exploding at the moment so £215 is reasonable.
Anyway all these things are only worth what you are preapred to pay for them.
If you want one it's worth it.
