For anyone not seen, the SLCC site has been updated with the Camping rules and regulations.
No BBQ, No Beers!....... what do we do? sit in the dark with Tesco sandwiches.....
hmmm Camping for the first round suddenly became less tempting.
Of course I can understand the reasons for this, but I may end up travelling up! unless anyone has any ideas?

BBQ's understandable...but beers? ? and how would that be policed!!??....but it would be ok to walk to the nearest pub and come back a bit drunk then ....perhaps "one of" Aldershots members has had BBQ's banned "gone tea total too"...blimey that was quick "god help them" ;D. How far away is the travel lodge Matt??.....if close it might be worth a look?...otherwise its a frying pan and "Red Bulls"personaly I dont like the idea of booking/paying for camping two weeks in advance "bad weather and loose money?"

£26 a head is expensive for me with the girlfriend in tow - I wouldnt expect her to pay for something that I asked her to come along to.
So looks like I will be driving home late Saturday!

I would still like to camp (weather permitting) and save the ££ that could be better spend on my car. I quite like the idea of spending £26 in the pub and stumbling back to my tent lol.

So would I James... "but"...I object to paying two weeks in advance for the British unpredictable weather and the chance of loosing your money should you change your mind not to camp, one way to make money "try this one at our meet"..the booze ban just tipped it for me,Pathetic!!! are we not all responsible adults? ....I intend to be warm and dry and relax with some like minded mates in a hotel I dont need some bloody idiot telling me I cant have a pint and chill out in the comfort of my own caravan or a mates tent

The BBQ is understanable...some dummy's damage the grass with the disposable's....but the booze ban??hmmm, are Aldershot having a problem with a neighbor ??.dont know??...but as I said It dont stop some noisy folk walking back from the pub worse for wear late at night. Aldershot need to realise that camping in this country especially in April is very weather dependent, people base their decisions on the Thursday/Fridays befor's forecast...

OK I've booked a twin room at the Aldershot Premier inn - was £52 for the night - can cancel up untill 1PM on the day just in case we come up with something different! The rules seem a little strict - it's liable to be cold - so i'm happy with a warm bed! Matt

Don't worry Adam you will be able to as we motor back to Ringwood to our tent in the garden and a decent amount of London Pride ;D

- wouldn't it be funny if the tables were turned and pete rocked up with a tent as we all disapeared of to the premier inn!
did some investigation - they've got twin rooms still available - although it is slowly booking up, others are obviously having the same idea - also there's a brewers faire onsite, whilst it wont allow for rain dances from adam - i expect the beer will be good and tasty!

Go Team! the rest of the world are partying away on the 31st but you guys slaved away ensuring the logistics of taking the top stock tittle at slcc and brca juniors whilst still being able to kick back in the nations finest "motels" an awe inspiring look into the world of F1 I feel - I've heard Team Braun could do with some help at the circuit de catalunya next weekend!?? hehehe So who else is up for roughing it in the premier inn? Matt

;D ;D Hmn I had better not admit to turning up tomorrow with tyres to scrub, a new diff to be run in and a brushles setup with no work done on sorting ESC settings or gearing then I have though re weighted the car down to 1501 50% of the team drivers are ill so it may only be Ross the way things are looking right now Talking of Ross, the other one did call for a chat about Australia but unfortunately we are already committed to Eastbourne for the STCC, shame that.

indeed! Give him my number, i'll happily sit in the pits or on the wall and watch the F1s spank around up close! My dad is a sod, he's sat ontop of a green godess and watched F1 at silverstone, and camped with the Navy in the center and been inside all the sodding team garages.... it's not what you know and all that!! it'll be like that at aldershot for team shmcc - one person sat on the wall - talking tactics, laptimes, lengths of drive shafts - punch settings!
